Sickle Cell Disease Awareness and Advocacy

Sickle cell disease remains one of Uganda’s significant public health challenges, yet awareness, early diagnosis, and access to quality care remain limited for many families.

ROOTED Life Foundation works to:

  • Increase public awareness and reduce stigma.
  • Promote early screening and diagnosis.
  • Support individuals and families living with sickle cell disease.
  • Advocate for improved access to quality healthcare and policy implementation.

Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability.

Climate change continues to affect livelihoods, food security, health, and economic resilience across Uganda.

Our climate initiatives include:

  • Community climate education.
  • Environmental conservation and tree planting.
  • Climate resilience awareness.
  • Youth engagement in environmental stewardship.
  • Promotion of sustainable community practices.

Youth and Community Empowerment.

Young people are powerful agents of change.

We equip youth with knowledge, leadership skills, and opportunities to become advocates for healthier communities and environmental sustainability through training, volunteerism, mentorship, and community outreach.

Our Approach

We believe lasting impact comes from working with communities rather than for communities.

Our approach is built on:

  • Community engagement and participation.
  • Evidence-based programming.
  • Strategic partnerships.
  • Capacity strengthening.
  • Continuous learning and accountability.
  • Sustainable, locally led solutions.
